recommends Alpe Adria Cup 2011 as one of the most interesting race in the
world this summer.

The first inspection of the terrain |
|
This weekend, the course setters for Alpe Adria Cup 2011, Stanislav Kustec
from Slovenia and our member Marin Štefanac, visited terrains on Kastav and
town of Rijeka. We are very happy to announce that they are extremely
satisfied with the maps and terrain, especially with terrain near town of
Kastav. Very rocky area with many coves, sinkholes and dry stone walls
creates a real labyrinth. The hardest task will be in designing the course
for younger classes.
They are also delighted with the map made for sprint in center of Rijeka.
Terrain offers numerous passages in old town, which can be exploited for
excellent course setting. We can expect very interesting race, especially
because of the idea of Stanislav Kustec, who proposed unusual variant from
the last control to the finish area on the Corso Avenue...
We are eagerly waiting for the first courses:)

FootO WRE applications have been approved |
|
Dear Karlo,
Both of your FootO WRE applications have been approved, and the events have
been published on the IOF website,
www.orienteering.org,
under the World Ranking menu. Please inform the organizers of the events’
WRE status.
I would also like to remind you of the importance of using World Ranking
Identifiers in the results. It is one of the WRE requirements that
identifier numbers are provided, and the easiest way to collect runner ID’s
is to request them from the athletes in the entry form (please also forward
this information to the organizers).
